History

Humble Beginnings

Pat's Guitar Shed began its humble roots in a gas station in 1962, then known as Pat's Pro Bass Shop. What few customers knew were that Pat was indeed selling bass, but as bass guitars. This lead many to confusion and loss of customers. In 1964, Pat had his store renamed to "Pat's Guitar Station", then to "Pat's Guitar Shed" after a minor hurricane swept up most of his inventory. And his customers.

Humbler Middle Aged Times

For the next several decades, Pat's sales declined harshly. It was near time to close shop until new opportunity had sprouted thanks to the World Wide Web in 1999. The site has kept with its golden rule of "If it ain't broke don't fix it" since the beginning. Some of the guitars are even from 1976, just waiting to find their new homes! As 2015 is rolling around the corner, we are happy to say that Pat is doing well and our shop will always be open!
